The Smart People (February 2, 2009)
What is "smart"?
Smart in this context stretches to a degree of being amusingly clever. Clever would be a form of mental quickness, by not being stupid.
I believe I wouldn't be smart even if I read a lot. That's knowledge. And to know things, it becomes a collection of know-hows and reasoning for everything in the world that could be explained through words and writings. Generally people who are slow in mental physics could read too. It equates to a learning process too.
So who are the smart people? It's a waste of time trying to find out. Finding out the smarties doesn't make you smart. Instead, you waste a lot of time on people who might seem to be smart but you realised that they are actually, just knowledgeable. And you lose precious time which you could bank on to make yourself smarter, or less stupid.
So who are the smart people again? It's really none of my business. I hope I'm smart and I want to be smart and I don't care whether if anyone is smarter than me or less stupid because that really doesn't make me any smarter too.
Think about it. Does standing next to an intelligent person makes you stupid?
The answer is a 'No'. Smarter people don't make you stupid. You just don't have to think so much when you are with them.
Which brings us to the next thing. Does standing next to a dumbass makes you smarter?
Think again.
It doesn't make you smarter too. In theory, you are just, ahem...
Not as stupid as a dumbass.
So quit comparing and start to get smarter soon.
