Those Little Lies (March 6, 2010)
A lot of people are superficial.
And we have to make ourselves appealing to the general mass of superficial people. I could not be stereotyping this time, am I?
People DO judge a book by its cover. I think I still make a lot of sense in this statement.
Everywhere. I see them all the time. From all walks of life. All kinds of places that I could possibly imagine. Are they just innocent little people who just looks straight and thinks straight?
A little lie would do me good. By telling people that I'm Not superficial. I don't judge a book by its cover. I try my utmost efforts to understand individuals in depth. What each and every human beings are.
I look at a beggar and genuinely feel for him and sympathize with his fate.
I look at an educator and respects him in every aspect for the good that he has done for local education.
I look at politicians in awe of the sacrifices that they have laid down for the country.
I look at scientists and marvel at their fascinating inventions for the benefit of mankind.
Lies?
Or the truth?
Oh yeah. Humans are so great because like me, they look at every living species as an individual. Humans empathize and offer help to one another. Humans don't kill one another for territory gains. Humans go to places of worship because they love their Gods and not because they want to pass their examinations with flying colors or reach out for a career boosting promotion.
Humans sign up for years of service with the government because they want to do good with their skills and dreams of protecting their homeland and not for the monthly salary. Humans get married because they want to spend the rest of their lives with the one they love and not merely to obtain housing options and raise some bunch of kids that may or may not be a menace to the society.
And as I'm babbling, some of these kids are undergoing sacred and rigorous trainings that will one day prepare them for honorable missions like bombing their own countrymen or unleashing rounds of gun powder on other man's homeland.
Yes. And people have to put up with these little lies.
